You must to be willing to serve.

What it means to be a councilor…this issue supersedes all issues as nothing else matters if you’re not willing to serve.

Constituent services

“Constituent services” is a phrase that councilors use as a catch all job description. It essentially refers to the duties preformed by elected representatives on your behalf and in your best interest. It could range from helping you arrange the pick-up of bulky items, getting a handicapped parking sign in from of your home, even appearing before a city board with you, in defense or support of an agenda item. A councilor might even bring an issue to the council floor for discussion in response to a constituent’s concern. The bottom line is as your elected representative a city councilor is the liaison between the taxpayer (constituent) and city hall and the services it can provide.

I believe in “Karma”, and was taught by my mother and grandparents to do unto others as you would have them do unto you. I have also been in the service industry for most of my career and as a result of that training I pride myself on doing a good job at being respectful, honest, and hardworking. I plan on serving the people of Ward 3 with no less passion and enthusiasm than I approach anything else. Let’s face it, it comes down to getting the answers you need, knowing how to approach an issue and who to call for action.

I will be sure to answer phone calls in a timely fashion, and work to get your issues resolved within my capability as a councilor. I think I have demonstrated a desire to serve the public by some of the activities I’ve been involved in. I will list a few projects and organizations here so you get the idea.

Ward 3 has been neglected too long and the people have a right to representation that works hard on their behalf. That means, being at the meetings, showing up on time, returning phone calls, and respecting the public trust in all capacities. I am the only candidate who can demonstrate an effort to maintain these ideals on all accounts. It’s time to get to work!
