Seafood & Fishing Regulations

In a nation whose industry and manufacturing capacity has all but dried up and blown away, like so many tumbleweeds across the desert, I believe we need to make the hard decision of sacrificing environmentalist’s special interests and just go FISHING. The rest of the world has little concern about catch share limits and days at sea. The men and women of this industry are struggling small business owners and the fact that the Federal government is regulating them into a watery, debt filled grave is absurd. Listen to the science, respect the craft, and let the country build an industry that could easily continue to feed the world responsibly.

I believe It is time to establish a consortium of fishermen, scientists, environmentalists, and local regulators to create a system where bureaucracy is limited and both economic impact and the science are considered equally.
