The Woma’s Center in New Bedford has been relying on the community to come an enjoy food as part of their annual fundraising event “Men Who Cook” for some many years now. But due to the sudden enforcement of a health department regulation they were unable to deliver this event as it had been done in the past.

So the team at the Woman’s Center came up with another idea, “Men Who Cook” month! Simply put its an opportunity to call your friends, invite them to a meal at your home and ask them to donate to the center in your name. Since MWC month has come to a close with about five parties having raised about $1500.00 they have decided to extend the opportunity through out the remainder of the year. Ten more parties are in the works including a large multi-chef venue who donated the “approved kitchen” so the chefs could cook and serve a buffet called “Cooks Who Care!”.
