Hey everyone! Our next meeting is coming up on January 28th at 6:30 pm, at our usual location the Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish Center on the corner of Mt. Pleasant and Mt. Vernon Streets in New Bedford [see Google map].  Mt Pleasant Street NA (MPNA)  is our chance to discuss the issues of our Ward 3 community, report crimes and get answers to questions that are burning in our brains.

If there is a particular question or concern  we  try to get the appropriate New Bedford city official to attend. For instance, our last meeting involved the Bristol County DA Sam Sutter. He had a great discussion with us on the new marijuana law that, at the time was a ballot issue, but has since gone into affect on January 1st 2009. He also told us about the State’s upcoming fiscal disaster and how it will likely affect his office.
